Our day started a little late. Hubby didn't make it to the campground until 3:30 pm because he had to work. As soon as he arrived, we jumped into the car and took off for Kitchen Kettle Village. We had a lot of fun. We bought fudge, landjaeger, homemade ice cream and of course we did a ton of sampling at the Kitchen Kettle, Jam & Relish Kitchen (picture shown below). If you ever find yourself in Lancaster, PA, this place is a must to visit.
Note: I can almost guarantee you will not see my daughter's face in any picture on this blog. I am just not fast enough with a camera.
Here's my baby! This was taken after she dropped three marshmellows into the fire.
Just as I was getting raedy to hit save, my daughter and I heard screams from in the trailer. It was Sammi, "How do I flush the toilet?" Heads up for campers who invite people who don't camp, teach your guests how to flush! Funny thing was we couldn't help because she locked the trailer door going in and she had trouble figuring out how to unlock.
I am exhausted! We unpacked the truck, setup the grill and found out we had to replace the regulator. We drove out to Lowe's and picked up the part we needed. Next stop was grocery shopping. An hour later we were all tired and decided to order pizza. We got back to the trailer, put a way groceries, ate and now I'm done. Good night all!
The Saturdayof Memorail Day weekend is upon us. Soon I will be crossing state lines as we head out to our trailer. It's nearly 2:30pm and while packing, we made an important decision...not to bring and set up our gazebo. Fact of the matter is, it just broke with all the moving. Sad part, we only had it for less than a year.
Oh my gosh! It's after 1pm and I still don't have my coffee! Hubby got in a cleaning mood and I have to wait until he's done. I'm thinking I can talk him into going out to eat. Should't be hard, it's just him and I this weekend. The kid, our 17 year old daughter, is staying at a friend's house this weekend.
Boy, am I hungry. Too much blogging and not enough eating.
She is parked in her new home and without fail there is a story to tell. Just a small one.
First I have to praise my hubby who backed the trailer into the site with no trouble. But and there is always a but, the lock pin of the fifth wheel jammed. We raised and lower the trailer and even backed trailer up a bit and the lock pin just wouldn't budge.
Then we decided to remove the whole carriage from the truck. Still not budging. I don't know it you can see it in the pic but we decided to just let it hang there and get help with it later.
About an hour goes by and I walked past the pin. I thought, let's just give it a little tug and see what happens. The pin slide right out! It was like pulling that sword from the stone.
Well, after a good laugh we finshed setting up. I'll upload some more pics.
